Top Tax Payers in Bollywood 2009 | Akshay Kumar Top Tax Payer Actor of Bollywood

Akshay Kumar has taken a giant leap from last year to emerge as the
highest tax payer from Bollywood this year, even beating Shahrukh Khan
.

Last year, Akshay paid a tax of only Rs 12.5 crores. But this year,
after having emerged the most bankable star despite a couple of flops,
Akshay doled out a huge tax sum of Rs 31 crores to the I-T department.
Shahrukh comes a close second with Rs 30.99 crores as his tax payment.

The third spot is taken by Salman Khan , who's also made quite a leap
from his taxes of Rs 6.7 crores in the previous year to Rs 14 crores
this year. Saif Ali Khan , who's had a busy year, takes the fourth
spot, having paid Rs 8.6 crores.

The most surprising is to see the yesteryear star Rajesh Khanna (well,
he's still working in a couple of B-grade flicks) in the top five tax
payers, even ahead of Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. Mr. Khanna is
the fifth highest tax payer from Bollywood after paying Rs. 6.9
crores.

The sixth spot is taken by Aishwarya Rai with taxes of Rs. 4.7 crores.
Kareena Kapoor is placed at number seven after paying Rs 3.7 crores.
Abhishek Bachchan comes eighth with a deposit of Rs. 3.2 crores.
Singer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya seems to be making more money
than Amitabh Bachchan . Himesh is at number nine after paying Rs. 3
crores, while Mr. Bachchan paid Rs 1.25 crores. Surprisingly, Aamir
Khan and Katrina Kaif are not in the top ten list.
