Best known as: Sexy, the adorable neighbour of Amitabh Bachchan's character in Cheeni Kum and Chaitali of Baa, Bahoo aur Baby. The Jain girl is almost a veteran on the advertising scene, having done close to 70 ads in her seven-year-old career!
Stepping into large shoes: Under director Balki's guiding light, Swini pulled off the Cheeni Kum act with poise, scandalising many viewers with her opinions on 'today's boys' and 'woh-wali' CDs. "I went through a workshop before shooting which taught me to give flat emotions with confidence. "No TV-expressions!" I was told. Swini
perhaps got the most eyeballs while playing the super-intelligent character of Chaitali. The impact of her granny-like roles has been on her ads. "In the ICICI ads, I play a serious girl advising her father on his insurance plans," she smiles. Quite a leap from her debut ad where she sang the Ajanta toothbrush jingle. The fifth-grader is a bundle of energy off screen. "I love Hannah Montana!" she screams.
Side effects: There have been several ones for her. Consider this: "I love going to London," she says. The tot has done 30 stage shows abroad, playing her 'adult' character alongside Shilpa Shetty. Though she loves the friend requests she receives at school, "I get headaches standing and talking under huge flashlights," she complains.
