Best known as: One of the students on Kya Aap Paachvi Pass Se Tez Hai, dubbed Hari Puttar by Shah Rukh Khan.
Stepping into large shoes: "Dheirya began rubbing his eyes very early and was detected with myopia, due to a genetic defect," says his mother Payal. Little did she know that the kid's four-and-ahalf-powered spectacles would make him the focus of several ads and programmes, portraying him as a scholarly young boy. "Of course I have to put more effort if I am not acting as a kid but a judge," he says, in an Aamir Khan-manner. Dheirya has been a judge on one of Boogie Woogie's semi finals, has judged stars such as SRK in the Little Star awards and played the scientist who fired rockets at Salman Khan in Partner.
Dheirya was ranked numero uno in school and is among the top 400 children in India at a recent Cyber Olympiad. When asked about juggling shoots with studies, his self-discipline shows. "How can I sacrifice studies for these projects? If any assignments comes up which requires me during school hours or exam time, it's a strict no-no," he asserts, shaking his index finger side-to-side. His mom proudly adds that they turned down an offer by NDTV Imagine to anchor their Republic Day-special show.
Side Effects: Ads carrying Dheirya's pictures are often plastered across the city, including those on rulers where he wears a Harvard sweatshirt. On Pachvi pass, his general knowledge made a contestant win 50 lakh. An admitted fan of "Shah Rukh uncle" Dheirya will next be seen in the Bachchan-starrer, Shoe bite.
