Dostana getting too hot under the collar?
Dostana's bold theme revolving around two friends pretending to be gay to secure an apartment is merely a comic angle in the film.
With the film's release date fast approaching, Dostana has already raised a few eyebrows with the Indian censor board. This movie has been produced by Dharma Productions, a company owned by renowned Bollywood director/producer Karan Johar.
The storyline which revolves around two guys pretending to be gay may seem bold for Bollywood standards in this day and age.
But Apoorva Mehta, spokesperson from Dharma Productions confirms that Dostana is an all out fun film. The gay angle merely being a light-heart gag added to the proceedings. So there is nothing to be concerned about.
But the Indian censor board are more worried about some of the language used in the film. They have asked the producers to mute some of the words which they think audiences may find offensive.
So all you Bollywood fans out there, be prepared to expect some mutes in dialogues when they go and watch the movie in UK cinemas on Friday 14th November 2008.
