Neha Dhupia Mandira Bedi Red Saree Controversy in sets of 'Hasee Aur Haseena'

Neha Dhupia Mandira Bedi Red Saree Controversy in sets of 'Hasee Aur Haseena'

As the curtains came down on the four week-episode of the comedy show, Hasee Aur Haseena, the concluding episode saw some hostility between the judges Neha Dhupia and Mandira Bedi. Apparently Neha Dhupia was upset because she felt that her sari was strikingly similar to that of Mandira's.
A source close to the unit said, "Neha Dhupia, Mandira Bedi
and Tanushree Dutta are the judges of the four episode-comedy show, Hasee Aur Haseena. Both Mandira and Neha were given red saris, whereas Tanushree had to wear a yellow salwar kameez. When Neha realised that her and Mandira's saris were similar, she refused to wear it and insisted on being given another sari. When the channel authorities refused, she walked out of the sets in a huff, shut herself in her vanity van and refused to shoot. The channel and the production team tried persuading Neha to wear the sari but Neha refused and offered the option of wearing a western outfit, which she had with her. However, the channel refused to budge and decided to go along with the concept of traditional wear, because the episode had to be aired on Diwali. After much coaxing Neha agreed to wear the sari but by then we had already lost over an hour. Things were really unpleasant throughout the shoot. Neha refused to communicate with Mandira and Tanushree."
When we checked with Neha if it was true that she created a fuss over the costume, she said, "Mandira and I did wear something similar. But then it was Diwali time and people do end up looking similar. However, the clothes that we wore for the show were not provided by the channel or the production house. We wore our own clothes and had no problem with that. Mandira and I ended up joking about the fact that we were wearing similar saris."
Hasee aur Haseena was designed to be telecast as a stopgap show after the last episode of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and before the launch of the new show, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna.
