Shahrukh Khan shoots 'Billoo Barber' despite injury
An injured knee did not prevent Shahrukh Khan from meeting his movie commitment.
Not for nothing do people in Bollywood swear by SRK’s unflagging stamina. When he had returned limping from his London holiday a few weeks back (after hurting his knee in a football game), many people in Bollywood must have feared that their projects featuring SRK would suffer. But SRK has met all his professional commitments despite the injury.
After coming from London, the superstar did not rest but went straightaway to do voiceover for Aziz Mirza’s film Kismat Konnection that has already released. Next, SRK shot a rain sequence for Aditya Chopra ’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with newcomer Anushka Sharma .
And now, SRK has shot a difficult action sequence for his home production Billoo Barber , directed by Priyadarshan . Before shooting the scene, SRK had to learn Alayi Hejje, a very difficult dance art form from South.
Though it was taxing on his injured knee, SRK did not complain to the action director Thyagarajan and completed his shooting as scheduled.
SRK’s KNEE STORY
SRK first encountered knee problem years ago when he even had to undergo two surgeries. Though his knee recuperated, it never healed fully. SRK says his knee pain often keeps returning and he has learned to live with it.
