Katrina Kaif opts out of film with Shahid Kapoor : Sad ;(
Ken Ghosh's untitled film, featuring Shahid Kapur. The svelte actress,
who was set to take home a whopping amount of Rs 4 crore as her
remuneration, is begging out of the film. While Kats is keen on taking
up the film, her temperamental boyfriend, Salman Khan, insists that
she maintains safe distance from Shahid Kapur. "Everything was hunky
dory till recently. Apparently, Katrina has problems with the dates
and consequently, wants to opt out. But the real reason is that Salman
doesn't want her to work with Shahid because he has had a spat with
the actor during a world tour in the past," explains our source. The
buzz doing the rounds is that the director's earlier choice Jiah Khan,
who had shot for two days but later opted out, is back in the film.
Previously, Rajkumar Santoshi had tried to hook up Katrina and Shahid
in a film (of course). Unfortunately, even he was forced to shelve the
film when Katrina was reluctant to do the film. With Katrina stepping
down, she misses joining the big league of actresses (read Aishwarya
Rai and Kareena Kapoor) who're now commanding a fat pay package.
