Katrina Kaif fringe hair style in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani inspired by Sadhna in Waqt??
Katrina Kaif, who played lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Ajab Prem Ki Kahani’ is said to have gone for the fringe hair style keeping in mind the yesteryear actress Sadhana in her flicks like ‘Waqt’, ‘Woh Kaun Thi’ and ‘Mera Saya’.
The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is hat Katrina Kaif wanted to look like a teenager in the flick and this fringe hairstyle, also called bangs, came in handy for the actress. As a result of that, she looked cute and believable as an orphaned girl brought up by strict foster parents.
The playfulness needed by Katrina Kaif’s character of Jenny in the romantic comedy, came out very naturally on Katrina’s firang face with fringe hair style. At the end of the day, not only Katrina Kaif’s new look became hit with the audiences, but the movie, too, took a record opening at the box office.
In fact, the fringe hair style had been very popular with bollywood actresses like Sadhana, Juhi Chawla, etc, who played live wire roles in their flicks. A fringe (or bangs in the US is a shaped cutting of the front part of the hair so that it is combed forward and hangs or curls over the forehead. A classic fringe is cut fairly straight at or above the eyebrows, but fringes can also be ragged or ruffled, spiked up with hair gel, swept to one side or the other.
The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Katrina Kaif has brought back the fringe hair style in reckoning after ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ became a hit with the audiences. Some people also see it as the revival of old ‘Sadhana cut’ hairstyle that was so much popular with the earlier generations.
In the meantime, the reports from the UK say that Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ has taken an excellent first weekend opening. The collection is at par with the movies of bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan.
Similarly, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ did a superb business in the US and Australian territories. These three overseas countries have traditionally been big earning points for bollywood flicks, and this time, too, it was no different.
On the home front, Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ has already been doing excellent business, favorably comparing to the opening of Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ at the box office.
The grapevine is abuzz that Katrina Kaif’s lucky charm works at the box office not only with Akshay Kumar, but also with Ranbir Kapoor, as proven by the super success of ‘Rajkumar Santoshi’s flick ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.
