Yoko Ono: Ain’t into Beatle songs

This may appear surprising but apparently true.

Yoko Ono, the much talked about Japanese wife of late Beatle legend John Lennon, has admitted that she never knew about the songs of the band. Well, she says she only realized that ‘Beatle’ tracks were special when she recently revisited their back catalogue.

The buzz is that she gained some knowledge of Beatle’s music when she organized the release of the re-mastered versions of their albums earlier this month.

She’s said: "I didn't know the Beatle’s songs so well until I started to become responsible for them. Having to check it, listen to it, and make sure everything is alright reminded me how each one has some kind of special energy."

She also talked about their new video game, ‘The Beatles: Rock Band’.

She said: "It's not about chopping heads. It's going to promote peace and love. It's going to be fantastic. It is like the second Beatles revolution in a sense. It's going to make this planet into an artistic place... I think John (Lennon) would have loved it.”

Well, even if she didn’t know enough about the fantastic four’s music after all these years, she sure is one of the few who’s benefited big time (financially and fame wise) from them. Great luck, Ms. Ono.
