Wanted Box Office Report

Wanted Box Office Report

Wanted movie Boxx Office Report will be posted here soon, keep on checking this page for further details of Wanted Bollywood Movie 2009 Box Office Report

The keenly-anticipated biggies, WANTED and DIL BOLE HADIPPA, opened to mixed houses. WANTED opened to a fabulous response at single screens. The opening was 90% + at places. But the response at multiplexes was around 40% - 50%, though the business showed an increase during evening shows. The reports are positive, with the masses loving the film.

DIL BOLE HADIPPA had an approx. 50% to 60% start at plexes, but was weak at single screens. The reports are not too encouraging and it remains to be seen how strongly it holds in the forthcoming days.

Looking at Salman's popularity, WANTED is expected to show a big jump once Idd festivities begin.

The Salman Khan starrer Wanted which had opened, surprisingly, universally weak on its opening shows picked up over the weekend though not in a major way.

The film has Salman Khan playing character of an apparent underworld man who surprises them by actually being undercover worker for the Indian Police; and mixes a heavy dosage of action with commercially popular songs. The film which is remake of Telugu cinema's recordbreaking hit Pokhiri, appears headed for some success among the Hindi audiences if it can maintain pace over next several days. Post-release response to the film appears best in the Hindi circuits, with Delhi and Mumbai being ok also after pickup. Reports from theaters like Sheila in Delhi had 80-90% turnout for evening shows.

The downer however remains that the multiplexes still seem to be largely shunning this film checking in at 30-40% even on Sunday, unlike a Ghajini which saw huge opening weekend response from both multiplexes and single screens. A major movie nowadays can't emerge a significant grossser/hit from decent business at single screens alone.
