Victoria Beckham has tried hard for years to try and make her mark as a fashionista.

She’s earned a lot of flak in the process as well. After all, standing next to man who looks like a Greek god (ace footballer David Beckham) ain’t easy at all!

But now she claims to be happy, as she thinks the fashion industry has recognized her potentials as a designer and is finally taking her seriously.

The former ‘Spice Girls’ member, Posh presented her third collection at New York Fashion Week on September 13.

She said, “I know I used to be in a pop group and I’m married to a footballer– a very lovely footballer. But I’m grateful that people are prepared to leave their preconceptions at the door and let the dresses speak for themselves. The sell-through has been amazing.”

The buzz is that celebs of the caliber of Madonna, Brooke Shields, Elle Macpherson, Katherine Jenkins, and Tana Ramsay have been taken in by VB fashion and were photographed in figure-hugging LBDs from Victoria Beckham’s current autumn/winter collection.

Also ‘Remember the Daze’ actress, Leighton Meester was recently spotted filming scenes for her US TV series ‘Gossip Girl’ in a VB scarlet “Carmontelle” peplum dress.

She’s currently promoting her line with in-store ‘trunk shows’ at Neiman-Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in New York and at Selfridges in London.

Well, for Posh, this sure is a time to celebrate after all these years of trying hard!
