Stephen Sommers, the man behind the first two Mummy films and Van Helsing, has been busy with his crew filming the well known cast of G.I. Joe. Over the months pictures of standalone characters have emerged, but now we’re getting the Government Issue posters revealing the subtitle of the film as G.I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra.

A foreign billboard spotted at the Cinema Expo in Amsterdam, Netherlands yesterday showed us Duke holding his gun tight. One noble pedestrian was kind enough to snap a picture and share it over the internet. Today, two more photos have started circulating to show Baroness and Snake Eyes.

We saw what the Transformers toy line could do last year and we’ll be seeing the sequel next year in Revenge Of The Fallen. But a few weeks after that, on August 7, 2009 we’ll also have the franchise that originally coined the term action figure blasting their way into theaters. They’ll be locking and loading to fight the evil organization Cobra, the American hero way.
