FRUIT N NUT is an upcoming movie, directed by the well-liked MTV VJ and theatre actor - Kunal Vijaykar. Studio 18 group will be producing this debut film of Kunal. FRUIT N NUT is said to be a social parody, suggesting that it would be a comedy with social undercurrent Cyrus Broacha, a friend to Kunal, after jesting at the small screen is ready to get the flash over big screen. The former Miss Asia Pacific, Dia Mirza has been finalized to play the leading lady. Munnabhai MBBS famed, Boman Irani will be another pivotal role player in the hilarious movie. With these talented actors in the movie, it sure promises to be a treat. Sharat Kataria, the one who wrote dialogues for the critically acclaimed funny movie BHEJA FRY, has written the script of this screwball comedy. Regarding the wacky title, Vijaykar stated that Boman suggested this title and it goes juts right for the interesting film.

Synopsis

FRUIT N NUT is a madcap comedy with a central character named Jolly Maker, who is a simple, hard working middle class struggling bachelor in search of love, money, friends and success. Jolly Maker works as a clerk/accountant in office of a greedy and corrupt builder named Khandar. He is typically nerdy and un-stylish. He is also accident-prone and leaves a trail of disaster behind him. One fine day in broad daylight, Jolly Maker's beautiful, sexy, smart and snobbish colleague, Monica, gets mysteriously kidnapped.Through a roller coaster ride and series of comical mishaps, Jolly Maker finds himself in the middle of plot that has been hatched by an insane Ex- Maharaja to destroy Mumbai!! Whether the poor, adorable, accident- prone Jolly Maker finally falls in love or not, gets his girl or not and above all is able to save Mumbai or not, makes for rest of the film.
