Bollywood goes international : Dil Bole Hadippa - Toronto Film Festival


Delhi 6 - Venice Film Festival: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6 is among the four Indian movies that will be screened at the 66th Venice Film Festival. Starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, this movie tries to grapple with a host of issues that still bother India through the eyes of people living in the Walled City.



Gulaal - Venice Film Festival: Anurag Kashyap's Gulaal will also be screened at the 66th Venice Film Festival. Starring Deepak Dobriyal, Kay Kay Menon, Aditya Srivastava, Piyush Mishra and Ayesha Mohan, it is a brutal study of student politics, caste rivalries and regional pride set in modern day Rajasthan. The film released in 2009, garnered critical acclaim as well as audience appreciation.




Dev D - Venice Film Festival: Anurag Kashyap's Dev D, a modern take-off on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's classic novel, Devdas will be screened at the 66th Venice Film Festival. Starring Abhay Deol, Kalki and Mahi Gill, it was one of the first hits of 2009 and won critical as well as commercial success.



What's Your Rashee - Toronto Film Festival: What's Your Rashee?, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, is another Indian film making its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Based on the Gujarati novel Kimball Ravenswood by Madhu Arya, this romantic comedy stars Priyanka Chopra and her former beau Harman Baweja.




Dil Bole Hadippa - Toronto Film Festival: Yash Raj Films' Dil Bole Hadippa, directed by Anurag Singh will be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
