Arthi Agarwal in Manasa Films

Srikara Prasad, son of senior director Katta Subba Rao is following in his father's footsteps and making his debut as director for a film to be produced by Lanka Rajasekhar and Kolanu Srinivas under the banner of Manasa Films.

Arthi Agarwal has been signed on as the lead heroine. The shooting of the film was formally launched with puja activities at the production office.

Speaking on the occasion, Arthi Agarwal says, 'After my marriage, I returned to India to start my second innings in the film industry. I am presently working for 'Neelavani', and another film opposite Posani Krishna Murali. After these two films, I was impressed with the subject of this movie. Really I was inspired after listening to the story from Srikara Prasad, who is wielding the megaphone for the first time.'

Srikara Prasad says, 'I worked as an editor for several Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. I had also produced three films in Kannada. I am very happy to turn a director for women-oriented cinema with Arthi Agarwal as my lead actress. I am sure that the film would be the best stepping stone as director. Arthi is playing a different role, which she has not done so far. The film will have comedy and family elements.'

Producers add, 'we were impressed with the story narrated by Srikara Prasad and are therefore producing this film. The shooting would begin from the fourth week of July. Several other senior and prominent artistes and comedians are in the cast.'
