Eram Karim won the 13th edition of Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tilottama 2009, the largest and the most popular beauty pageant of Eastern India, on Sunday in Kolkata. Shayshree Saikia (From Guwahati) and S.......anghamitra Bhattacharya became 1st and 2nd Runner Up respectively.
The ten finalists of Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tilottama 2009 walked the ramp before a judges' panel that comprised of film director Anurag Basu, supermodel Indrani Dasgupta, Tollywood superstar Jeet, designer Komal Sood, singer Rupam Islam and entrepreneur and corporate honcho Jayanta Roy.
The grand finale began with a sequence choreographed by Sukalyan Bhattacharya. This round also had the girls in glittering jewellery from Adi Kriti. The ten finalists then went on to scorch the ramp in western wear by designer duo Dev R Nil. This was followed by the Indian wear round where each girls walked in breathtaking designs by internationally acclaimed designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
The final two rounds had the girls in stunning creations by Bombay-based designer Gaviin Miguel.
The grand finale also had a sizzling performance by singer Anushka Manchanda. The evening ended with last years winners crowning the winner, first runner up and second runner up of Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tilottama 2009.
Tilottama aims at 'Searching for the Beauty Within'. Tilottama is indeed a way of life now for the aspiring models and actresses in this part of the country.
Past Tilottamas have included the likes of Bipasha Basu, Koena Mitra, Celina Jaitley, Nicolette Bird, Reshmi Ghosh and Jyoti Brahmin to name only a few. The passion, confidence and fervour that emanates from each of these iconic achievers forms the true spirit of Sananda Tilottama.
It spreads its wings to encompass the whole of India and has indeed attracted a bevy of beauties aspiring to become Tilottama in 2009.
