London Dreams Mullanpur, Chandigarh Shooting

London Dreams Mullanpur, Chandigarh Shooting

With most of the big budget extravaganzas being city centric nowadays, very few films are shot in Indian villages. When films are shot in Mumbai and other big metro cities, fans do come in large number but don't really go berserk seeing their favourite top stars in real. But if the shoots happen at far off places like Mullanpur, a sleepy village near Chandigarh, you can just imagine what euphoria it all leads especially when the star names read Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and fresh from Ghajini's success, Asin.

A unit source reveals, "The unit of Vipul Shah's London Dreams was shooting at Mullanpur, a village near Chandigarh where the crowd gathered in numbers to catch the glimpse of their favourite stars. It was a star studded surprise for the region and people were not ready to let the unit shoot without them mingling with the actors. They all wanted to shake hands, take autographs and click pictures with Salman and Ajay. After the bumper success of Singh Is Kinng, Vipul Shah had returned to the village to shoot once again for London Dreams. Finally Vipul relented and let the villagers have their due. The takes and retakes made it an eventful day for the locals who exchanged smiles and glances with the actors while the actors generously shook hands with people and signed autographs for them."

Salman Khan recently told our source, how pleasantly surprised he feels when he sees so much craze for Bollywood and it's stars in villages that are so far away from Mumbai.
