Vanity Fair world’s most beautiful woman

Amchi Mumbai's Freida Pinto has lost the race for the world's most
beautiful woman to Hollywood stunner Angelina Jolie.

Perceptions of beauty differ with cultures and countries. Pinto, who
was an annonymous name in Mumbai before Slumdog Millionaire catapulted
her to global fame and onto the coverpages of international fashion
magazines, was a surprise entry into the shortlist of 19 women from
across the globe in a poll by Vanity Fair to decide the most beautiful
woman in the world.

The results are now out and the winner is Angelina Jolie who got as
many as 58 percent of the votes. Jolie won by a formidable margin over
other beauties like Gisele Bundchen, who came second with just 9
percent of the total votes, or actress Halle Berry who took the third
spot with only 4 percent of the votes..

Freida Pinto got only 2 percent of the votes, the same as actress Cate
Blanchett and popstar Beyonce Knowles.

The only consolation that Freida can draw is that she comes ahead of
actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Elle Macpherson, Kerry Washington, Kate Moss
and France's first lady Carla Bruni who got only 1 percent of the
total votes.
