MUMBAI: Youth entertainment channel UTV Bindass is set to launch Blue Carpet, a makeover show, from 17 April onwards. The show will be telecast every Friday at 7 pm.

The show's panel will consist of hairstylist Hakim Aalim and costume stylist & television Imam Siddique.

Blue Carpet will have celebrity judges including Shaimak Davar, Mickey Contractor, Nisha Jamwal, Nina Manuel, Pooja Bedi and Gul Panag.

UTV Bindass in association with Sunsilk presents a unique and truly dramatic ‘makeover’ experience for the young Indian woman. Sunsilk Bindass Blue Carpet, a makeover show with a very distinctive twist that goes beyond transforming just the outer looks of the participants but focuses also on building confidence and positivity which will give a very holistic result when it comes to a makeover. Beauty is, after all, more than skin deep. This show is aimed at boosting the overall confidence, poise and attitude charm of selected lucky girls – transforming them into self-assured characters – ready to take on the world!!

In each episode of the show we will see our participants put through a variety of innovative tasks, all designed to escalate their confidence levels giving them an opportunity to do something that they have dared to believe they could really do! From bartending at a swanky club to performing in a public place, to raking in a minimum of 500 bucks, the show has an exciting line-up of activities and situations that will bring out the best in the participants.

The show consists of an established and extremely prominent panel consisting of popular names including Hakim Aalim – Bollywood’s No1 hairstylist and Imam Siddique - a renowned costume stylist & television anchor. Not only this, the celeb quotient of the show will sky rocket with celebrity judges including Shaimak Davar, Mickey Contractor, Nisha Jamwal, Nina Manuel, Pooja Bedi, Gul Panag and many more!!! It will be a sure platform for the participants to make their foray into the world of glamour and excitement.

Moreover the show ensures a direct connect between the contestant and audience through the VIDEO DIARY, featuring personal feeds recorded by the contestant at private moments… she may be super frustrated with a judge for pushing her too hard and much and want an outlet to vent her frustrations; or want to express her feelings about the ways in which she is feeling different about herself throughout the makeover process. Through sharing these personal and very direct confessionals and expressions, the audience will get a very deep insight into the power of a makeover to transform someone.

At the end of every successful makeover, there will be a FINAL GRATIFICATION for the contestant, a realization of something she has always dreamt of. This could be anything, including a date with her favorite superstar or something wild she has always wanted to attempt.
