The rise and rise of the south actress Anushka has her contemporaries and competitors worried.

The super duper success of Telugu film 'Arundhati' has put Anushka in a different league altogether. Add to that the lissome lass's sizzling performance in 'Billa', outshining even the buxom bombshell Namitha .

Now, Anushka expands her reach and is getting more offers from Tollywood and Kollywood. To begin with she has signed her second Tamil film 'Vettaikaran' with Ilayathalapathy Vijay . In the film she plays a medical student who is also Vijay's love interest.


The sexy belle says she wants to balance her career in Tamil and Telugu industry. However, Anushka's rise has her contemporaries on their toes.

It was apparent when both Anushka and Namitha appeared on a show but most callers to the show wanted to talk to Anushka rather than her busty co-star. This must have got Namitha worried, who, reports say, has decided to reduce her waistline and become more shapely for the upcoming projects.

On a different front, Nayantara is throwing competition to Anushka by signing a heroine-centric film on the lines of 'Arundhati'. The movie will be produced by MS Raju. Nayan is presently doing a Telugu film titled 'Adurs' and is also acting in the 'Anjaneyulu' opposite Ravi Teja.
