All the goss on Bollywood's favourite woman and the 54th Idea Filmfare Awards
A R Rahman, came in straight from the Oscars. Did the red of the carpet here look any different? "The red carpet of Filmfare awards has supported me for 18 years," he replied quietly. He was honoured again. Shah Rukh Khan came with his arm in a sling. Now, that's loyalty. It's funny but true. The actors slog it out, then they win an award, and then it's all about their dress. So, here goes. Farhan Akhtar came in a black suit, Prateek Babbar wore a Paul Smith cap, Preity Zinta in a Gauri and Nayanika gown, Aishwarya Rai in a black sequinned sari… Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya arrived together in a white Mercedes. Their entry caused a stir. Hosts Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan were set to zoom in on their bikes from two opposite gates, when suddenly the Bachchans walked in and Imran and Ranbir were forced to stop. They waited for 20 minutes before they could restart their bikes and continue their act. If everyone thought they would see Sush Sen with her latest, they were wrong. Her mother was her date for the evening. But there were interesting couples. Kangana Ranaut came with Adhyayan Suman, Milind Sonam with Shahana Goswami. Hmmm. John Abraham and Bipasha Basu arrived in John's Audi. And yes, Rekha was seated in the same row as the Bachchan family. Mr Mukesh Mehta, consultant, Dharavi Development Scheme, said at the function, "The Chairman of Times Group, Indu Jain, is just as ecstatic as the rest of us in celebrating the Oscars Awards which has put India in the global limelight. But she was wondering whether rejoicing and shedding overwhelming tears of joy is enough. Shouldn't the celebrations for such a feat have an everlasting effect? I am here today to invite you to join us on this beautiful journey. The Government of Maharashtra has undertaken a project to transform Dharavi into a world class township. Let's work with the Government of Maharashtra on this so that when this project is completed, all of them can proudly sing 'Jai Ho'. via:mumbaimirror |
