Videsh- Heaven On Earth Story Line
After conquering the hearts of many in Canada, 'Videsh- Heaven On Earth' is all set to be released in India. The acclaimed director Deepa Mehta is the director of this soon-to-be-released film.
Preity Zinta gets to play the central role in this film for which she won the best actress award at the prestigious Chicago Film Festival and also won a nomination at the 29thGenie awards in Canada, which became the hot topic in the B-Town.
Come March 27, 'Videsh- Heaven On Earth' produced by the veteran producer B.R.Chopra will hit the Indian screens. The entire movie was shot in Canada. The film's story is based on a real-life incident of domestic violence involving a Punjabi woman named Amardeep living in Canada.
Chand is the name of the character essayed by Preity Zinta.
The movie follows Chand as she moves away from her loving family and a supportive community in Punjab to Brampton in Canada to be with her husband. But in her new home, life is not as pleasant as she thinks it would be. Chand has to share the humble suburban house with seven other people and also two part-time tenants. To top it all she has to endure her husband's fiery temper and also her mother- in law's hostile behaviour.
