If you are game for a nonsensical comedy, with no logical, but at least something of a story, then you might like 'Dhoondte Reh Jaoge'. Leave you brain at your house, if you are planning to watch the movie in a theatre and we assure you, you won't come out disappointed. A silly movie, with a ridiculous plot for its story, the film does manage to entertain you to a certain extent.

The sets of 'Dhoondte Reh Jaoge' are way too tawdry, but the 'at-times' funny jokes and witty dialogues make up for the flaws to some an extent. There is not much emphasis on the story, rather on the entertainment quotient. Still, the ups and downs are too many. At times, you can't help but smile, while the other scenes make you frown no end. The spoof on Sholay, D.D.L.J., Gadar and Lagaan are pretty neat.

The actors in 'Dhoondte Reh Jaoge' fit their roles perfectly. While Paresh Rawal has excellent comic timing, Johnny Lever was seen in form after a long time. Kunal Khemu surprised us with his impressive performance and Soha Ali Khan was, as usual, very likeable. Sonu Sood was completely in sync with his character and even Dilip Joshi was good. In short, if you are looking for a no-brainer, this film might just work for you.

Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge Pre-release Review

'Bunty Aur Babli' introduced the concept of movies based on swindles and cons in Bollywood. Since then, the idea has been exploited to no end. Another movie based on a con-show, set to hit the theaters on 6th March 2009, is 'Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge'. Directed by Omesh Shukla, it has Ronnie Screwvala as the producer and will be released under the banner ' UTV Spot Boy'. Providing lyrics to the music of Sajid-Wajid are Jalees Sherwani and Shabbir Ahmed.

The star cast of 'Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge' includes Kunal Khemu, Sonu Sood, Soha Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever, Deepal Shaw, Asrani, Razzak Khan and Avtar Gill. The film revolves around a con that Anand Pawar (Kunal Kemmu) and Raj Chopra (Paresh Rawal) are trying to pull off. Anand is an honest Chartered Accountant, who is now sick of being a looser in life and looks forward to making quick money. Raj, on the other hand, is a veteran film producer who is now left with no money to make films.

The con is very simple; Anand & Raj will raise Rs 100 crores, from various financers, but make a film within a budget of 5 crores only. The film will be so pathetic that it will be chucked out from the theaters on the very first day and termed as one of the biggest flops. After the bombarding of the film, Anand and Raj plan to run away with the 95 Crores remaining from the film's budget. In other words, they look forward to becoming millionaires in the shortest time possible. To make the flopbuster, they rope in Aryan Kapoor (Sonu Sood) as the lead actor, Parvez Asharraf (Johny Lever), a Pro-Pakistan person, is hired as the writer, apart from numerous weird actors, director and music directors. Somewhere along the line, Anand becomes greedy enough to cheat on his own girlfriend Neha Chattopadhayay (Soha Ali Khan). She is a small time theatre actress and Anand decides to cast her as the main lead in his film to get her over the acting bug. As the film progresses, numerous hilarious situations occur, resulting in tons of laughter for the audience. Will Anand and Raj be able to pull off the coup?
