Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment has selected Shirish
Kunder to direct a film based on Anuja Chauhan's super hit novel, The
Zoya Factor. This news will come as a surprise to many considering
that not too long ago SRK and Shirish had differences when the former
refused to star in the latter's film, Joker. However, in the wake of
this recent news, one can safely assume that all's well between the
two now.

SRK will not only produce but also play a superstar in the film.

Our source said, "Earlier, Shirish was supposed to make Joker with
SRK. However, SRK was not very happy with the final draft of the film
because of which the project failed to go on the floors. What followed
were several reports of a fall-out between the two. However, since
SRK's best friend Farah Khan is married to Shirish, the actor couldn't
stay upset with Shirish for long."

Coming back to the new film, SRK's production house bought the rights
of The Zoya Factor as they were keen to make a film based on it. It
was SRK who asked Shirish to make a film on the bestseller.

"Shirish has already started work on the film and after the final
draft is made, they will start looking for a lead actor who will play
a cricketer. The film will soon go on the floors," said our source.

Shirish Kunder said, "I am not allowed to speak about it."

We also sent a text message to SRK but he did not reply.

The Zoya Factor by Anuja Chauhan

The book is about Zoya who was born at the exact moment that India won
the 1983 World Cup. Her father and brother suddenly realise that they
never lose a match when Zoya accompanies them. Zoya herself realises
this much later. While working in an ad-agency, Zoya gets to spend
time with the Indian cricket team.

The chemistry between Zoya and the Indian captain Nikhil Khoda only
makes things more interesting. In the end, Zoya's 'luck factor' works
and India manages to win the World Cup and Nikhil proposes to Zoya.
