GULAAL Movie | Gulaal Bollywood Hindi Film Preview, Stills

GULAAL Movie | Gulaal Bollywood Hindi Film Preview, Stills

Looking at some of the scenes from GULAAL, one wonders if DEV D was just a trailer shown by Anurag Kashyap when it comes to projecting rawness on screen. The theatrical promo of the film is out and if cuss words in the very first few seconds are any indication, audience is all set for yet another explosive outing on the big screen.

Moreover, while DEV D was a musical with black humor dominating the proceedings, in case of GULAAL, it is high end dramatic quotient that catches your attention. A film with a feudal setting to it that also brings on elements of revolution, student politics, greed for power, self respect and anger amongst others, GULAAL appears to be a high voltage affair that will certainly make people stand up and take notice of Anurag Kashyap's yet another fiery saga.

Says Anurag Kashyap, ''This is a film that I have been most passionate about shooting for quite some years now. In fact after wrapping up the shoot of DEV D, I went straight into the shoot of GULAAL. It also helped me unwind from the mood of DEV D since I didn't have any breathing space before moving into my next project.''

Starring Kay Kay Menon as the central protagonist, GULAAL is a Zee Limelight production. The banner had come up with OH MY GOD in December last year that sunk without a trace. However, this time around the production house is much more careful about the marketing and release of the film.

Says a source close to the film, ''We want GULAAL to be considered as a premium product that spells quality. It is going to be some focused promotion this time around. Anurag has proved his mettle yet again with DEV D and with GULAAL, he would only be known further for his versatility.''

Starring Deepak Dobriyal, Aditya Shrivastava, Piyush Mishra and Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh in principal roles, GULAAL also features Mahi Gill (who played Paro in DEV D). The film is all set for a 13th March release.
