Shahrukh Khan Shoulder Surgery

Most of you who have seen SRK recently at Farhan Akhtar's show Oye its Friday, might have noticed the cast around his left hand. It turns out that the injury is quite serious and the doctors over in US, after a MRI scan, have adviced SRK to go in for surgery i.e if he wants to continue doing his own stunts in films.

Dr Ali Irani who treated SRK reveals more details "Shah Rukh needs a surgery on his left shoulder. We knew this even before he went to LA. Now, he has to decide whether he wants to get operated in India or abroad. He has an option of getting operated in Mumbai, LA or London. Once the operation is done, the patient can go home after 12 hours. However, it may take anything from 6 weeks to 6 months for the patient to get completely okay"

The doc also reveals that Shahrukh has been suffering from supraspinatus tear in the left shoulder from quite sometime now "Since 2003, Shah Rukh has had partial supraspinatus tear of the left shoulder. Unfortunately, while performing a stunt for Dulha Mil Gaya, SRK further injured his shoulder."

Going further into details, Dr Irani says the surgery would not have been required for normal people "Even if you and I have this problem, we may not need surgery if we are not going to jump around or play cricket or do a fight scene. But Shah Rukh wants do everything, which is why he needs surgery. Moreover, he has an action film coming up after six months. But it's not an emergency case. It will be a planned surgery."
