John Abraham is learning cricket professionally, from Rohit Sharma's coach, Dinesh Lad, for Hook Ya Crook

John Abraham Riding high on the success of Dostana, John Abraham wants to give every role his best shot. For his role of a cricketer in UTV's Hook Ya Crook, John is learning the game under Dinesh (Raju) Lad, who is Rohit Sharma's coach. John will be shown playing the game with National level cricketers like Mahendra Dhoni and a number of other star cricketers, who are yet to be finalised as the cast. Confirming the news, director David Dhawan said, "Both John and I are mad about cricket. But that doesn't mean we would look convincing playing against professional cricketers. But Rohit Sharma's coach will make sure John looks convincing. We needed David Dhawan that professional touch on the field. John is very serious about learning enough of cricket to look convincing on screen." Since John isn't shooting for any film right now he's spending all his free time polishing his game with his coach. Shooting for Hook Ya Crook starts next week. The first song recording took place on Friday. "This is a totally different territory for me. I have never made a film like this before," revealed David excitedly.
