After the spat between Ashutosh Gowariker and Sajid Khan at the Star Screen Awards on Wednesday night, a few filmmakers met at the UTV office, and talked about banning such awards in the future.
It is believed that besides Ashutosh, there was Ronnie Screwvala, Raj Kumar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
It is believed that these filmmakers have decided not to attend these awards functions in the future. And will only attend functions where they are shown the script in advance to avoid such unpleasantness the next time.

To tell you in a nutshell, the hosts of the show made fun of me saying that I make long movies, they made fun of Aamir, Neeraj Pandey, Anurag Kashyap, and every award presenter and award winner that came on stage.
Not done. Will not be allowed from now on! At any award function!! Awards are important. People must be honoured. Not disgraced and made fun of.
Every creative person works very hard to achieve recognition, fame, respect and dignity. That cannot be broken at an award night by a host whose duty is to host, whose duty is to honour the nominees.
Mazaak karne aur mazaak udaane mein farq hai! And let me also add here, that I love awards. And I will attend every award function whether nominated or not. I will always attend awards!

its not a programme where u try all substandard stuff to raise the TRP ratings.
an MC/host cant make fun/ridicule/insult anyone
and thats xactly what farah and sajid did the whole programme
am awad ceremony is a solemn occasion
farah commented about the time limit at the oscars...we neednt follow oscars to the T.it is the winners prerogative to give an acceptance speech..nd not the hosts right to sit there nd insult winners and others.
if i am not mistaken,the life time aceivenment award winner was sanjay khan,and sajid at one point of time went to him and said something which sounded like...uve done a gr8 thing..havent made any movies in the last few years...OMIGOD.
