Deshdrohi 2
As one DeshDrohi was not enough Kamaal Khan is ready with DeshDrohi - 2 . God save us from such movies
Actor-producer Kamaal Rashid Khan (KRK), who created a furore by making a film on the anti-immigrant sentiment against North Indians in Mumbai in Deshdrohi, is doubling up with joy. Not only is his film, Deshdrohi, which was banned in Maharashtra (but was released in other states in India on November 14, 2008), all set to release here on January 23, but Kamaal is also all set to launch a sequel, Deshdrohi - 2. This time the film will be based on the tragic 26/11 terror attack and will highlight the issues of how politicians, Page 3 celebrities and the media attempted to cash in on the tragic incident through their well-oiled PR machinery.

A source close to the director said, "Kamaal is currently leafing through newspapers and magazines to gather information about the incident. He is also in talks with a lot of people closely involved with the incident. Kamaal wants to bring to light the lengths that politicians and socialites go to see their pictures and quotes splashed across the media. Kamaal also plans to highlight the race among media channels to telecast exclusive news to boost their TRP ratings."
Like the earlier Deshdrohi, Kamaal will play the lead in this film too. Kamaal has also signed Bigg Boss winner Ashutosh Kaushik to play a parallel lead. He is also in talks with other actors to essay important roles in the film.
Confirming the news Kamaal said, "Yes it is true that I will be making Deshdrohi-2. Ashutosh Kaushik is one of the actors I have signed for my film."
Considering the sensitive topics that he is basing his film on, isn't Kamaal worried about Deshdrohi-2 also facing a ban? Kamaal replied, "I made Deshdrohi to show an India that needs to stand united. Through Deshdrohi-2 I want to put across the message of unity once again. I will definitely make the film. As for the ban, let's wait and watch what happens later."
