After a disastrous debut in 'Saawariya,' Sonam Kapoor was yet to be seen in a film (outside of the ten people that saw 'Saawariya'), until now. Sonam Kapoor's second film, 'Delhi 6' is set to hit theatres in February and we have the very first look below! The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the same man behind the highly successful, 'Rang De Basanti,' and it also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Om Puri and Atul Kulkarni. It also features small cameos by Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor (father of Ranbir Kapoor) and Gulshan Grover as well.

The film is based on director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's own life growing up in the small town of Chandi Chowk in Delhi. It stars Abhishek Bachchan as a young man born in the US who brings his sick grandmother back to India. The film is described as so, 'Little does he know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life - a journey within. The backdrop of the story is the ancient walled city of Delhi, a character in herself. She represents the chaos, religion, beliefs and ethos of the Indian people. The pin code of the city is 110006, and with pride of love they call her Delhi-6.'

Question is will this film be the much needed turning point in Sonam Kapoor's career? After all her competition, Deepika Padukone, has jumped out leaps ahead of Sonam and has even snagged her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor (there's no relation just in case you were about to scream 'incest!'). Hopefully the draw of a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film and the success of Abhishek Bachchan will be enough for audiences to head to the theatres.
