A ready to bare girl,Model-turned-actor Nandana Sen, playing the role of Sugandha,Daughter of Nobel prize winner Amartya Sen

Model-turned-actor Nandana Sen is not a new face in the industry. Daughter of Nobel prize winner Amartya Sen, Nandana will soon be seen as

Randeep Hooda's muse in Rang Rasiya. She talks to Lucknow Times about her film, future plans as well as her side of the story regarding rumours linking her to Ram Gopal Varma's nephew.

Tell us something about your film Rang Rasiya?
"Rang Rasiya is based on the life of the 19th century painter Raja Ravi Varma. Ketan Mehta has done a wonderful job and I am happy to be a part of this film. The film is about the obscenity case slapped on Raja Ravi Varma by puritans in the late 19th century. I am playing the role of Sugandha, who is the muse of Raja Ravi Verma."

What made you agree to do the role which was earlier refused by Madhuri Dixit because of its intimate scenes?
"I don't think Madhuri was offered this role. I think Ketanji contacted me first for the film and I got selected for it. And I don't have any problem in doing intimate scenes because at the end of the day, I am an actor and it's a part of my profession. Even when my father saw me acting in this film, he appreciated my acting."

"For this, one should go and watch the film. The censor board people really liked it. When the entire film is based on an obscenity case slapped on Raja Ravi Varma then there are bound to be some such scenes."

Who do you want to be like – Mallika Sherawat or Bipasha Basu?
"I think I have created a different image for myself and I don't have any competition with any other bombshell in the industry."

What's your take on the skin show? Is it important to bare to stay put in the industry?
"I think every newcomer today wants to do something which one can remember. And many of the newcomers are exposing to get offers. But according to me, acting skills comes first."

Although you have been in the industry for a decade, there are hardly any films of yours which are remembered by the audience. What's your comment?
"Yes, I am little-bit choosy about the films because I don't want to act in every film. I think accepting each and every offers affects one's image."

Tell us something about your upcoming projects?
"I am doing five films right now. The Forest, The World Unseen and It's a Mismatch. There is one more film which is untitled and I am doing one Bengali film, in which I am playing the role of a German girl who comes to explore India."

Are you still dating Madhu Varma, nephew of Ram Gopal Varma?
"It's something very personal and I don't think I should answer it."
