Dressing up the weird characters of 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! A kleptomaniac thief, an authoritarian Sikh father, a gangster, and a veterinary doctor are some of the characters who were given distinct looks through clothes and styling in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! .
The movie, directed by Dibakar Banerjee of Khosla Ka Ghosla , is a comedy inspired from the real story of the Delhi-based "super thief" Bunty, who wanted to lead a plush life and become famous. Abhay Deol plays the part in the film.

In order to bring the fashion styles typically seen in Delhi onto the screen, the designer duo actually moved about on Delhi roads and clicked the pictures of real people who suited the characters in the film. But to style for Abhay Deol's character, Lucky, the duo took inspiration from Bunty (the real thief) and came up with clothes and fashion accessories like cheap leather jackets, fake jeans and t-shirts, and shoes and sunglasses bought from flea market.
But the most difficult part for the designer duo was to style the look of the three characters played by Paresh Rawal – that of a Sikh, a gangster, and a vet.
For the first character of a Namdhari Sikh from the 80s, Paresh was given gaudy jackets, high-waist baggy jeans and fake Reebok shoes.
For the second character of a gangster, Paresh was given a flashy look. He dons a wig, has vermilion mark on the forehead, wears some jewelry and a red stole.
For the third character of a vet, Paresh was given somewhat normal clothes like regular shirts, pants, coats and a cravat.
Neetu Chandra 's character did not require much styling because she plays a down-to-earth college-going girl who wears everything from salwar suits to cheap jeans and a normal t-shirt with a jacket on top.
'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!' hits the theatres on November 28.
