Vinod Khanna has been finalised to play the role of Jivajirao Scindia opposite Hema Malini,'Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi'

Vinod Khanna has been finalised to play the role of Jivajirao Scindia opposite Hema Malini who will play the lead role of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia in Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi. It will be after more than 20 years that Vinod Khanna and Hema Malini will be seen together in a film. They last did Rihaee in 1988.

When contacted, Gul Bahadur Singh, the director of the film said, “The basic and important reason to cast Vinod Khanna was that he looks royal and can carry off this role with dignity. When we got in touch with him, he was pretty happy and excited about it. It was not difficult to convince him to play the part at all. Sachin Khedekar is playing the role of Bal Angre, the trusted aide of the family.”
