The audio launch of Imagine Creations’ Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu was a glittering and classy affair at Sathyam Cinemas. The film, comprises a young team of debutants including director Susindran, former NRI producer K Anand Chakravarthy, cameraman Laxmankumar ( from the Rajiv Menon school Mindscreen), debut music director Selva Ganesh ( son of the legendary Vikku Vinayakaram) and hero Viishnu.

The audio launch was an affair to remember since it was graced by none other than AR Rahman, Vikram and Gautham Menon, all of whom who are rarely seen at such functions.

To wish the team was also the producer council chief Ramanarayan. The audio was also launched in a unique way.

Since the movie is based on a true life account of the director Susindran’s father who was a captain in real life Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu in interior TN, the audio songs were launched by the respective fathers of the team.

Vikku Vinayakaram launched the first song followed by the producer’s father Thangasami and later Ramesh Kudawla father of the hero launched one of the songs. Actor Vikram and director Susindran’s father also released a song.

AR Rahman congratulated Selva Ganesh on his film debut and remarked that he came from a culturally rich family. Gautham Menon remarked that after Subramaniyapuram, this team looked very promising judging by the songs and visuals screened. Vikram congratulated the young hero who also spoke a few words on the occasion.

The trailer of the film was shown along with two songs which included a love montage song and a thiruvizha number. The film’s heroine is Saranya (in her first full fledged role) apart from Kishore ( of Pollathavan fame) who plays a coach in the film.
