Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion will lock horns with Sanjay Khandelwal’s The World of Fashion this Diwali, Fashion Stills,Fashion wallpapers

Even as Madhur Bhandarkar is gearing up to release his film Fashion during Diwali, another filmmaker Sanjay Khandelwal too is set to release his film The World of Fashion, around the same time. Both the films are based on the fashion industry.

When contacted, director Sanjay Khandelwal said, "My film deals with the behind-the-scenes of the fashion industry. My protagonist is a fashion designer who comes to Mumbai from a small town. The story revolves around her struggle in the fashion world where, from being a non-entity, she becomes a successful designer.

My film is complete and I am looking at a Diwali release if I get a good chain of cinema halls. My family has been into film distribution for the last 35-40 years and that's why I am confident of giving my film a good release."

Isn't he apprehensive about his film clashing with Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion? Sanjay says, "I don't know what kind of film Madhur is making, I had been planning my film for the last five years. I had registered my film's title as Fashion - the endless passion, in 2004.

However, I did not re-register my title. I had once narrated my film's script to Percept Picture Company. Since Madhur was working with them at that time for Traffic Signal, he might have picked up the subject of fashion from there. However, I don't intend to create any controversy regarding this. All I want to do is make my own film."

While Madhur's Fashion stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse, Sanjay Khandelwal's The World of Fashion stars Amrita Prakash of Vivaah fame in the lead role, apart from six newcomers Fashion Gallery
