Shilpa Shetty, the host of 'Big Boss' is very much emotional in her personal life unlike many of her colleagues. Every single matter touches her heart. Believe it that she was most concerned with the news that Jade Goody would be going back to London since she has been diagnosed with Cancer. Goody had come to participate in the reality show hosted by Shilpa.

This is significant inasmuch as that Jade Goody's racy remark during the 'Big Brother' show in London had upset Shilpa in the recent past. In spite of this, Shilpa called Goody on the phone and had a long emotional chat with her. Shilpa's gesture touched Goody's heart, and at the end of the hour-long chat both started crying. Shilpa says, "I was really sad when I heard the news (of Goody suffering from cancer).

This is a tough time for her and I hope that Goody is able to cope with this pain. My prayers and wishes are with her and her family. I am just glad she came to India and has taken back some good memories. As a result, the people's perceptions of her have changed for the better here. I spoke to her and she was happy at least on that front".

Earlier, Shilpa was shocked when the supporters of Ramdas Athawale, an MP, turned up on the sets and burnt her effigies. They protested against the ouster of their leader from the 'Big Boss' reality show being hosted by her. But, Shilpa says that the channel organsing the show has hired her as a host. So, she has nothing to do with someone's entry or exit from the show. How the show does or who the participants are not her concern. You may recall that Athawale had threatened to sue the show for dropping him from the show. Athawale had alleged that he was dropped from the show as he belongs to the Dalit community. Shilpa clarifies that she is proud of being the first heroine to play such an important part in the show. Besides, "I am in the midst of lot of things like reading scripts for my film and working on the pre-production, which I am planning to launch in February," she adds.

Another incident is cited by none other than Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He says that Shilpa Shetty, who performed with him in the US for his "Unforgettable" concert, is upset with him for not wishing her on her birthday, especially because she believes she has a good year whenever the Big B says happy birthday to her! "The show is now joined by Shilpa Shetty. She looked lovely as always and very trim. She displayed mock anger at meeting me because I missed wishing her on her birthday. Horrible me," Amitabh posted on his blog.

This is to recall that Shilpa joined the Bachchans in London on Saturday last for the last leg of their "Unforgettable" tour. Amitabh wrote that due to his "frequent travel and odd timings", he forgot the actress's birthday, which was on June 8.Amitabh also revealed that Shilpa believes that every year that he wishes her, "her year goes off successfully". "I wish it goes off even better this year, though I must remember not to miss it again," he wrote.
