Priyanka ChopraBollywood Bizarre – Priyanka Chopra commutes on an empty train!
Imagine a whole empty train chugging to its destination with only Priyanka Chopra and a few assistants on board.
This is not a figment of our imagination. It actually happened last weekend in Mumbai.
CHHUK-CHHUK TO CHURCHGATE
Priyanka was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj ’s film Kaminay on a local train in Mumbai. After the day’s shooting got over at Goregaon by quarter past six, Priyanka was in a fix. She had to reach Churchgate for an award ceremony by eight and was much too late. Taking the road meant driving into traffic jams. However, the film’s producers hit upon a unique idea. Since they had permission to shoot on the train throughout Saturday, they made the locomotive ply all the way to Churchgate so that Priyanka could reach her destination on time. So, the Mumbai local – which is often so crammed that people have to stand with their one foot on the other – chugged its way to Churchgate with none else than Priyanka and her few staff on board, and dropped the actress at her destination with a half hour to spare.
Talk about bizarre things in Bollywood.
A SIGN FROM THE STARS
Himesh Reshammiya doesn’t take a step without consulting his astrologer. He had been postponing the shoot of a stunt scene for Karzzzz simply because his esteemed astrologer did not consider the shooting dates auspicious. The stunt requires Himesh to stand on the edge of a helicopter as it hovers over a helipad. Now, this isn’t really a dangerous stunt compared to what Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan have been doing. But Himesh is scared.
He has consulted his astrologer once again and the wise fortune-teller has told Himesh to shoot the scene on September 2 when all the stars (not the Bollywood ones) and planets would be in favourable configuration. So, assured by his astrologer, Himesh is bracing up to show his bravado at the stunt to be shot at Film City tomorrow.
Dear Himesh, we wonder which astrologer Akshay consulted before swimming with sharks.
CHASING THE CHASER
Arjun Rampal had a very funny experience while shooting Deepak Tijori’s film Fox in Goa recently. The actor was shooting a scene in which he chases a guy who tries to run away from him. While chasing the guy, Arjun heard roars of “ Rock On ...Rock On” from behind. Curiously, Arjun looked back and saw a huge crowd of fans running after him. To get away from the mob, Arjun ran at full speed. And as he did so, everyone in the shooting unit was laughing their bellies out to see the chaser becoming the chased.
Funny, how things happen in Bollywood.
