Goldie Behl says his movie"Drona" is an adventure thriller

Bollywood director Goldie Behl says his movie Drona is an adventure thriller set in a world created out of his imagination.

"It belongs to the Harry Potter, Indiana Jones genre. I started shooting early January last year and completed the film in 12 months. The post production took ten months because of the visual effects," Behl said.




According to Behl, Abhishek Bachchan , besides being his closest friend is a fantastic actor who understands cinema.

"Abhishek works with several outside directors, but I connect with him very well and he understands what I want even without me saying it," he said.

In "Drona", Abhishek plays Aditya who is unaware of his destiny and the film dwells on how he realises the purpose of his existence and the way he lives up to it.

"Aditya is a descendant of King Virbhadra of Pratapgad. Many centuries ago, when gods descended on earth to hide a magical ratna, they choose the king to protect it as his bloodline was the purest. The secret was guarded by the king and the first born of his dynasty later on," he said.

Several evil forces are looking for the ratna and it is the duty of the first born of the king's dynasty to protect it. Aditya is the first born of the present generation and Drona is the name given to him," he added.

"Drona" boasts of the most expensive villain (played by Kay Kay Menon ) ever in the Indian film industry. A big castle was hired in Prague to make it the empire of the villain in the film," Behl said.

The film, starring Priyanka Chopra in female lead, is slated to hit the theatres on October 2.
