I'm sure this will be one of the most awaited bollywood movie of 2009. Funnily titled 3 Idiots, this movie is based on Chetan Bhagat's book '5 point someone' and is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani of the Munnabhai fame. This movie will be a first of sorts * It's the first time when Aamir Khan will be directed by Raj Kumar Hirani * 3 Idiots will be Kareena Kapoor's first with Aamir Khan Other than Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, 3 Idiots will also star Sharman Joshi ,Madhavan and Boman Irani. This movie is based around 3 students in an engineering college. The look of the actors within the movie has been kept a closely guarded sectet which is why the teaser doesn't have any of the actors in it. Shooting for the movie will take place in Shimla, Ladakh, Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. The shoot is supposed to be over by December though release dates are not confirmed yet. As with other movies directed by Hirani, 3 idiots has a social message, it exposes the drawback of the current education system which focuses on top marks/grades rather than excellence and all round development. Grapevine has it that Shahrukh Khan was offered the lead role, but things didn't work out because Shahrukh wanted to produce the movie, however, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, producer of the movie did pull out a major casting coup by convincing Aamir Khan to do this film. This will be Aamir's next release after "Ghajini". Here's a quick synopsis of 3 Idiots Ryan (Aamir Khan) - a handsome and adventurous young man, loves his friends more than anything else (more than his parents too). He hates being a book worm like other of his college mates, so always ends up getting low grades in his college exams. He believes in doing things his way, and ends up having five pointers as his GPA. Hari (Madhavan), a shy guy by nature wants to be handsome like Ryan. He is average at studies (pretty bad/funny at viva. He falls in love with Neha Kurien (his Professor's daughter). He always messes up when he attempts to impress Mr Kurien (his professor). Alok (Sharman Joshi) is a simple boy who wants to get good grades and earn money to overcome poverty of his family.
