Preeti Bhutani was born into a conservative Sikh family , whose father was in the Air Force and mother was housewife in Faridabad.

She is one of the Bollywood's rare actress who is looking for some good role in the industry. She has acted in Hindi(few), Tamil and Kannada films till now.

Actor Preeti Bhutani’s marked her foot steps in film with debut in the comedy flick “Ladies Tailor” that also had Rajpal Yadav and Kim Sharma, but Preeti would not like to be remembered for her debut film. Before that she had a small role in Jaani Dushman(2002).

"It was a small role, hence I wouldn’t like to talk about that film," said Preeti Bhutani on commenting for “Ladies Tailor”.

It was her sheer love for acting in films, which bought her to Mumbai in 2005. "I was doing theatre in Delhi and I decided to come to Mumbai to pursue a career in films. However, it was after I came here that I realised that getting into movies was not easy," informed Preeti, who resides at Seven Bungalows in Mumbai.

His father had no contacts in Mumbai, when she came here.

"I had to meet people and build my contacts, as I knew nobody here. But I was ready to take up the challenge," said Preeti who began with TV commercials.

In her struggle for work, Preeti Bhutani bagged Ladies Tailor, her debut film. After that she started getting offers from the Tamil film industry.

“I moved down South as I was getting good roles, even though the language was a problem," added Preeti, who has done several Tamil and Kannada films with actors Arjun and Srikant.

Today she is doing Sangeet Sivan’s Ek, which also stars Bobby Deol. She has also signed Neeraj Pathak’s untitled film with Sunny Deol.

"I’m slowly getting good roles in Hindi films. I had come here with absolutely nothing and today after trying I have worked in the film industry," said Preeti Bhutani, who loves swimming and reading books in her free time.

Though she hasn’t done much film in Hindi but she has a good experience in acting as she has done many film from South India.
