Multiplexes makes BACHNA AE HASEENO a HIT | BACHNA AE HASEENO Box Office Report

It is now clear that Yash Raj's latest release, the 19 crore BACHNA AE HASEENO is all set to be their next success after CHAK DE INDIA. The film had an excellent weekend at the multiplexes and recorded bumper collections. The weekdays saw the normal (big at some places) drop. Reliable sections of the trade are of the view that the next weekend will once again prove bountiful and will fill Yash Raj's coffers further.

However, a section of the trade and the media is trying to undermine the success of BAH by highlighting the fact that the Bipasha, Ranbir, Minissha and Deepika starrer is not doing well at single screens and at C and D centres. Well, the film was never made to be patronized by them in the first place, and in terms of the revenue generated, single screens hardly contribute to such GenX targeted youthful movies. In fact, when single screens do manage good shares, it is too small (as compared to multiplexes) to make the film even a below average fare. The perfect example is Yash Raj's very own TASHAN (which failed to release at the multiplexes in the first week), which would have been a success today, based on its good single screen business during the opening week!

Those who have even the elementary knowledge of box-office will be aware of the fact that in today's times, 70-80 percent returns for big banners are from the multiplexes and A and B centres, where BACHNA AE HASEENO is doing very well.

Hopefully, this should stop the misinformation campaign!
