'MUKHBIIR':hit theaters on August 29th
Director Mani Shankar's long awaited venture Mukhbiir starring Sameer Dattani has been facing problems concerning its final release. The film, which was supposed to release on August 1, will now hit theaters on August 29th. The reason for the delay is the dispute over money matters between the producer of the film, Sudhish Rambhotla and the director, Mani. Mani had dragged Rambhotla to court over this money matter. Now, the matter has been amicably resolved between the two. As a result, 'Mukhbiir's all India distributor Pyramid Saimira has heaved a sigh of relief. This is to recall that the film's release was earlier stalled for another reason. Then the dispute had arisen between director Mani and Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC).
So, PNC stalled the release because Mani owed the production house Rs 12,00,000 . However, the matter got resolved when the director returned the money to Nandy. Later, the film was all set for release on July 11 and even the premiere of the film was held on July 9 in Delhi. Nevertheless, the July 11 release date had to be cancelled at the last moment when multiplexes, especially PVR and Adlabs group, were unwilling to accommodate the film as 'Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na' (PVR) and 'Love Story 2050' (Adlabs) were already set for those shows. The makers were left with no choice but to postpone their film further. The film was fixed to release on August 1 , but once again problems cropped up between the producer and director. Hopefully, God will be gracious enough to listen to Sameer's prayers for 'Mukhbiir's final release on August 29.
