Aspiring actor immolates himself outside Balaji Office


In a case of life imitating art, a drama unfolded in front of Balaji Telefilms office when an aspiring actor who wanted to meet boss Ekta Kapoor tied to immolate himself to attract their attention.

Aspiring actor-writer Akshay Shivam Shukla (28) of Allahabad came to Mumbai or the ‘city of dreams’ to make it big but finished up in a hospital with burn injuries. Balaji fims refused to comment on the matter.

Ekta Kapoor runs India’s largest television production house churning out serial after serial for almost all the leading television companies in the country. She produces one successful TV soap after the other enthralling audiences of all age groups, socio-economic background , earning praise both from her admirers and competitors alike.

Daughter of the renowned Bollywood actor of yore Jitendra, Ekta Kapoor has produced and co-produced numerous soap operas, television series and movies.

Shukla had made numerous attempts to contact Ekta Kapoor but was thrown away by the security guards at Balaji telefilms. Ultimately he took this drastic step of self-immolation to get their attention.
