Akshay Kumar makes Snoop Dogg dress up as Singh

The charm of the endearing Akshay Kumar rubbed off on the rap king Snoop Dogg who agreed to dress up as a Singh for a song.

The American rapper recently shot a music video with Akshay Kumar for producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah ’s film Singh Is Kinng in Chicago.




Though Snoop Dogg had initially laid down conditions that his costumes for the song will be designed by his own personal crew, things changed after the rapper met Akshay, who, in his naturally charming way, befriended Dogg and asked him to wear a Sikh outfit consisting of a Sherwani and a turban. And guess what? Dogg agreed.

In fact, Akshay and Snoop Dogg together went to shop for clothes in the showrooms of Chicago. The two bought a sherwani and a pagdi each apart from lot of fashion accessories that went along with this Sikh attire.

The whole shopping cost as much as 10,000 US dollars, but to lighten the load on the producer Akshay decided to foot his own bill of $ 5000.

The song was shot in Chicago. Sources from the sets are quoted as saying that Snoop Dogg really loved his makeover as a Singh. He also grooved in well with Akshay on the dance floor.

‘Singh Is Kinng’ is set for August 8 release. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee and has Katrina Kaif opposite Akshay.
