Vishal Bharadwaj to Cat Hrithik in Indian adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'.

After 'Maqbool' (Macbeth) and 'Omkara' (Othello), filmmaker Vishal
Bharadwaj is planning to make an Indian adaptation of Shakespeare's
'Hamlet'. The filmmaker has chosen the versatile Hrithik Roshan to
play the lead role in the movie. Bharadwaj who has been hunting for
the lead actor since long finally zeroed on Hrithik Roshan after
watching the actor's impeccable work in 'Jodhaa Akbar'. With this he
will be completing his Shakespeare trilogy. According to Bharadwaj,
Shakespeare's narration is so powerful and his characters so real;
that they can be relevant in any era. Though the critics blame
filmmakers for running out of story ideas and hence turning to
literature, but others feel that literary works lend themselves to
meaningful cinema.
