'Bhoothnath' to have a sequel

'Bhoothnath' to have a sequel

The collections of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bhoothnath may be far from impressive but that has not been able to depress its director Vivek Sharma , who is planning a sequel to the film.

'Bhoothnath' that also stars Juhi Chawla and Aman Siddiqui (Banku) and had Shah Rukh Khan in a special appearance, will most probably see the same cast repeated in its sequel.

"The business has not been very good but it's picking up through the word of mouth," said Vivek. "The reports that I have been getting has really made me decide that I will work on its sequel. We plan to have some surprises in it too."

Insiders say a sequel was always on the cards as the film had ended with Amitabh Bachchan coming back into Banku's life even though the boy's family had done the last rites of the ghost.

'Bhoothnath' is a story of a seven-year-old naughty yet innocent boy who unknowingly turns a foe into a friend.

This is the story of Banku and his friend Bhoothnath. Banku and his mom come to Nath Villa which is inhabited by a ghost who is stuck in limbo. Banku befriends this ghost and helps him achieve salvation.

This is a story about innocence, honesty and the pure love of a child. It is believed a mother's love is selfless. But a child's love can transform relationships. It comes with no expectations and no boundaries. Their love can make you believe in miracles.
