Prachi Deasia : Bani from Kasamh Se Latest

Barely 19, she has already got the taste of stardom. She danced her way through audiences' heart, plays an ideal bahu on-screen and is the youngest star of the telly world. Meet Prachi Desai, who has won the hearts of many women across the country by playing the role of Bani for two years, and is thankful to God for giving her this role. Now that Kasamh Se is wrapping up, how does she feel? "I will never forget these last days of the serial, specially the character of Bani," she admits. After emerging as a winner of Jhalak Dikhlaja, life has changed for good for this vivacious and talented girl. What is her take on life and success? "The greatest change that has taken place is that people have started knowing me as Prachi and not Bani. I feel like a winner," she says. Prachi is doing another reality dance show called Yeh Hai Jalwa on 9x. So does that mean that she likes dancing? "Dance for me is the best form of recreation and relaxation." Ask her about her favourite form of dance and she says, "I like western dance more than classical because it is more easy compared to classical," she confesses. Talking about her debut film Rock On where she is acting opposite Farhan Akhtar, she says, "It was totally unexpected. Farhan, who himself is a director, is making his debut as an actor with this film." So how was it working with Farhan? "It was fabulous to work with him, he is a complete fun on the sets and happy-go-lucky person in real life," she describes him. And ask her what is her character in the film, and pat comes the reply, "It's a film on rock stars and that is all I can say." So, is she bidding adieu to television now that she is enjoying films? "No, I won't, but yes, as of now I am busy with Yeh Hai Jalwa and shooting for the movie, so yes." She is described as the youngest star to achieve fame and success so early in life but as a tele star, how does it feel? "I like being called a TV star, what is the problem in being called that when I started my career as a telly person," she wonders. Ask her about her personal life, and comes the usual filmi reply: "I am single and happy about it."
