Jalsa Movie Latest
One of the most anticipated Telugu films to hit the theatres this Friday is Jalsa starring Pawan Kalyan and his three gorgeous co-stars -- Ileana D'Cruz, Parvati Melton and Kamalinee Mukherjee. What makes this film special is that all the big names in the Telugu film industry are associated with it -- producer Allu Arvind of Geetha Arts, writer-director Trivikram Srinivas who is the director for this film and Devisriprasad who scores the music.
This will be 'Power star' Pawan Kalyan's first release this year after the hit film, Annavaram in 2006.
Pawan normally takes time out after each movie.
Trivikram is known for his good writing and dialogues.
His last directorial venture (his second) was Athadu with Mahesh Babu and Trisha two years ago. A slick film, Athadu was successful at the Box Office too.
"Jalsa is a character-based film. In fact the hero steers the film forward. It's a huge film. Each of the heroines has a substantial role to play," says Trivikram.
Ileana, who is acting with Pawan Kalyan for the first time, says, "Jalsa has a complete new look. The character I play is quite close to me and I could understand and relate to it easily. The whole experience of working in the film was fantastic and it is one of the best sets I have worked on."
Parvati Melton plays the role of a bubbly confident girl brought up in the United States. She plays Ileanas friend in the film. "I could also relate to the role in a sense and we had great fun on the sets," says Parvati.
Kamalinee Mukherjee is said to play the significant role of Ileana's sister.
Devisriprasad's youthful and peppy musical score is already topping the charts with Jalsa and My Heart is Beating.
Devi has roped in Baba Sehgal to sing the title song and KK for My Heart is Beating.
The audio was released by megastar Chiranjeevi (Pawan's brother) amid much fanfare. Charan Teja (Chiru's son) and Allu Arjun (son of Allu Arvind, Chiru's brother-in-law) also attended the function at Taramati Baradari.
Superstar Mahesh Babu is said to have given the voice over for Jalsa -- a rare thing in Telugu cinema.
Normally Pawan Kalyan's films have something new in terms of promotion. For Jalsa, huge standees are placed in strategic spots in theatres and a new mobile and online game has been launched.
The game, a first of its kind, revolves around the hero Pawan (named Sanjay) and heroine Ileana (Bhagyamathi) and Mukesh Rishi (Reddy). The game is an action-oriented where the hero flexes his muscles to the max.
