Shahid Kapoor to Play Helping Teacher in movie Paathshala, inspired from Taare Zameen Par

Shahid Kapur is set to play a sensitive and caring teacher in a film inspired from Taare Zameen Par .

The movie, titled Paathshala , is being produced by Ahmed Khan and directed by Milind Ukey. It has Shahid playing an English and music teacher who helps nurture a bunch of naughty and troubled kids.

The similarity with Aamir Khan 's superhit 'TZP' is unmistakable. And producer Ahmed Khan, who is also a good friend of Shahid, does not deny this.

Ahmed says 'Paathshala' is inspired from TZP but it is an original film because its script was written a year before TZP released.

Equally excited about the film is Shahid who has always adored Aamir, and looked up to him as someone worth emulating.

'Paathshala' will have a number of child artistes like Dwij Yadav ( Nanhe Jaisalmer ), Haji Ali ( Tara Rum Pum ) and Swini Khara ( Cheeni Kum ).

    Thanks for writing a decent blog and not comparing Shahid to a senior actor in a derogatory manner. It is been quite sickening reading disgusting media reports of comparing Shahid to SRK or Aamir to pull Shahid down.

    Shahid is so cute. also Ayesha is of his caliber. also I feel Shahid is grown up now with this kind of movies with star cast he is definitely he gonna rock. i am eager to watch this movie

    Shahid has been always been great with his looks. But I feel he is grown-up now with the kind of films he is doing. “Jab we Met” was a turn around for him. Thanks to Kareena Kapoor. Never the less he is working in the Indian Film Industry in his own terms. All the best to him and wish to see this movie in January, 2009.

    Shahid Kapur has always been improving as an actor with every movie.i m sure he is gonna rock in pathshaala too.
    he has a great caliber and never disappoints his fans with his performance in the films.
    He is not only too gud luking but a very natural actor.his innocence at heart is truly reflected by his face.
    i hope Shahid reaches to the top of the bollywood, the position he very well deserves.

    Shahid has always been improving with his every movie. this so very cute n gud luking actor has never disappointed his fans with his performance in the movies.
    He has a great potential and has been successful in showing that in his acting and dancing.
    His natural acting deserves a top position in bollywood. hope he attains it sooon.
