Tamil Nadu Government to impose Dress Code in state after Shriya's Dress Controversy?

Tamil Nadu Government to impose Dress Code in state after Shriya's Dress Controversy?

newThe controversy over Tamil actress Shriya's outfit has erupted all over again.

On Monday, in the Tamil Nadu assembly, Pattali Makkal Katchi member T Velmurugan launched an attack against Tamil television channels, accusing them of airing obscene shows.

A considerable time was spent in the assembly debating whether the government should impose a dress code after seeing Shreya, and another Tamil actress Namitha (left), in clothes the law-makers thought were too revealing.

Some of them suggested that action must be taken so that public decency is maintained.

But since when did the government get to decide what people can wear? Do you think the Tamil Nadu government has gone too far with this issue? Or do you think a dress code should be in place for the sake of impressionable youngsters?
